Job Title: Intermediate Digital Marketing Account Manager

About SocialEyes

SocialEyes Communications is a full-service digital marketing agency helping businesses build stronger brands, reach the right audiences, and generate measurable growth.

Our work spans social media, content, branding, paid media, SEO, email marketing, websites, digital strategy and more. We work collaboratively across departments, bringing together specialists in each area to deliver integrated strategies for our clients.

We’re growing our Client Success team and are looking for an Intermediate Digital Marketing Account Manager who is ready to independently own client relationships, strategy and execution across a portfolio of accounts.

The Role

As an Intermediate Digital Marketing Account Manager, you are the central point of ownership for your clients.

You’ll manage a portfolio of mid-size and moderately complex accounts, acting as both a strategic marketing partner to the client and the internal driver responsible for ensuring their work gets done accurately, strategically and on time.

This role goes well beyond responding to emails and managing deliverables.

You’ll be expected to understand your clients’ businesses, goals, competitive environments and marketing performance; identify opportunities and challenges; make strategic recommendations; and coordinate our internal specialists to bring those strategies to life.

You should be comfortable independently managing client relationships, leading meetings, presenting performance, navigating challenging conversations and making decisions without needing constant direction.

What You’ll Do

Own Client Relationships

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships by developing a strong understanding of each client’s business, goals, challenges and priorities.
  • Lead client calls, strategic check-ins and performance conversations.
  • Proactively communicate updates, recommendations, opportunities and potential concerns.
  • Set and manage expectations clearly and professionally.
  • Independently navigate most difficult or sensitive client conversations and know when an issue requires escalation.
  • Monitor overall account health, client sentiment and retention risk.

Lead Marketing Strategy

  • Own and maintain the overarching marketing strategy for assigned clients.
  • Develop strategy independently for appropriate accounts and collaborate with senior team members on more complex initiatives.
  • Understand how social media, content, Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO, email, websites and other digital channels work together.
  • Continuously evaluate results and adjust strategy based on performance, business needs and market changes.
  • Monitor competitors, industry trends and platform developments to identify opportunities.
  • Ensure everything being delivered supports the client’s broader business and marketing objectives.

Drive Cross-Department Execution

  • Coordinate with content creators, SEO specialists, Google Ads specialists, Meta Ads specialists, web developers, email specialists and other internal team members.
  • Translate client goals into clear internal direction and briefs.
  • Make sure specialists understand not only what needs to be done, but why.
  • Maintain visibility across everything happening on your accounts.
  • Review deliverables before they reach clients to ensure they meet quality, brand and strategic standards.
  • Provide clear, constructive and actionable feedback to internal teams.

Own Project Management & Delivery

  • Independently manage timelines, calendars, approvals, priorities and deliverables across multiple accounts.
  • Set tasks, deadlines and expectations for team members supporting your clients.
  • Follow up proactively and remove roadblocks before they impact delivery.
  • Lead onboarding for new clients and expanded scopes of work.
  • Maintain accurate and organized account documentation, including briefs, approvals, strategy updates, client preferences and key decisions.
  • Step in when necessary to keep work moving — client delivery ultimately falls under your ownership.

Understand Performance & Analytics

  • Review performance across channels including social media, Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO and email.
  • Identify trends, opportunities and areas requiring improvement.
  • Translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare and confidently present monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Explain complex marketing performance in a way clients can easily understand.
  • Connect marketing results back to the client’s actual business goals.

Support Client Growth & Retention

  • Identify opportunities to expand client services based on business needs, performance or gaps in their current marketing.
  • Make strategic recommendations that demonstrate clear value rather than simply “selling” additional services.
  • Proactively reinforce the value of the agency relationship.
  • Identify potential retention risks early and take action before they become larger issues.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in client success, account management, digital marketing or a similar client-facing role.
  • Agency experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience independently managing multiple client accounts and priorities.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and how channels such as social media, paid social, Google Ads, SEO, content and email contribute to a broader strategy.
  • Ability to look at marketing performance and turn data into meaningful recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence leading client meetings, presenting results and navigating challenging conversations.
  • Strong project-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to give clear, constructive feedback to creative and technical specialists.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • A proactive mindset – you identify what needs to happen and move it forward rather than waiting to be told.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to determine what you can resolve independently versus what genuinely requires escalation.

You’ll Be Successful Here If…

You naturally take ownership.

When a client asks a question, you understand the context. When something is falling behind, you catch it. When performance changes, you want to understand why. When a strategy needs adjusting, you bring forward a recommendation. And when multiple departments are involved, you make sure everyone is moving in the same direction.

You don’t need to personally execute every marketing specialty, but you need enough cross-channel knowledge to confidently lead the account, ask the right questions, challenge work when necessary and explain the strategy to a client.

You are organized without being purely task-oriented, strategic without losing sight of execution, and confident with clients while remaining collaborative with your internal team.

What Success Looks Like

Our Intermediate Client Success Managers are accountable for strong client relationships, retention, account growth and excellent execution.

Key measures include:

  • Maintaining approximately 85–90% client retention across managed accounts.
  • Building strong client satisfaction and trust.
  • Identifying strategic opportunities for account growth.
  • Achieving 95%+ on-time and on-strategy delivery across assigned accounts.
  • Ensuring work consistently meets our standards for strategy, quality, accuracy and brand alignment.

Why SocialEyes?

You’ll join a collaborative agency where Account Managers aren’t simply messengers between clients and production teams. They have a meaningful voice in strategy, client growth and the direction of the work.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has already built a strong foundation in agency account management or client success and is ready for greater autonomy, more strategic ownership and the opportunity to grow into senior-level client leadership.
